Founded in 2007, Punjab Gharana Sangeet Academy Samiti (PGSAS) is a traditional music academy offering expert training in tabla, vocals, and instrumental music. We provide high-quality education to students of all ages, preserving and promoting the rich legacy of Indian classical music.
Our teaching follows the revered “guru-shishya” tradition, ensuring that students not only learn the technical aspects of music but also connect deeply with its cultural roots. At PGSAS, we value your time, making sure even the most challenging taals are taught in a simple and effective way, helping you become a skilled musician as quickly as possible.
Our students, trained in the traditional methods of the academy, have earned recognition both in India and abroad, spreading the beauty of Indian classical music and Gurmat Sangeet Kirtan wherever they go. Their success is a testament to the quality of education provided at PGSAS.
At Punjab Gharana Sangeet Academy, we offer students valuable opportunities to gain real-world experience through stage performances, events, and competitions. Our goal is to create platforms that showcase emerging young artists and celebrate their talents.
We are dedicated to promoting traditional Indian classical music—spanning percussion, vocals, and instrumental forms—along with Gurmat Sangeet Kirtan. Through organizing musical and educational seminars, we aim to foster greater interest and appreciation for these art forms within the community.
In addition, the academy provides free music and school education to underprivileged children, helping them build a brighter future for themselves and their families. The blessings of these children and their families are a testament to the impact your support can have.
